Thanks to all who participated in the Downtown Salinas Criterium this past Saturday. Chris Brown's wife took some pictures. Check them out here. 

We could not have pulled off such an awesome event without the hard work of the volunteers. And special thanks to the Don Chapin Company and our team president D3. How was the racing? One word: Awesome! First, the course. Many riders commented on the great course. With six turns and alternating winds it was technical and challenging. How did we do?

Evan Rossow pulled off a win in the men's E4 field. Nice! Brad Griffen had a top finish as well, placing second in his crit. Over a dozen other MBRT members raced as well. It was a great time out there. Here's a video of me in the P1/2 crit. If you watch the video you'll see a lot of attacks...then you'll see the field ride away from me. I filmed the final sprint from the sidelines! 

As this was the first race MBRT has put on it was a learning experience. We're going to go over the event at a team meeting this coming Monday at 6:30pm at the Don Chapin Co. You're invited.

Upcoming Rides/Races

Hellyer Velodrom Challenge - Track Racing this Friday and Saturday. Free beer and snacks! I signed up for a race on Saturday morning. It should be fun. Do you guys like the gopro videos? I can keep doing them. 

Boonville Bite Hard Road Race - Local cyclist Jeff Malnick is promoting this event in Mendocino County this weekend. Many riders use it as a tune up for the Everest Challenge. 

CCCX # 8 - On the Seaside Bay View Course. This is our local series and we've had a good showing out there all year. Our Cat 4 guys have been killing it lately and I expect them to get organized and kick some butt out there. Cat 2 and 3 racers -- let's rock the 2/3 field at 2:45pm! 

Lodi Cyclefest Crit - on Sunday in Lodi. Looks like an interesting crit.  

In Other News

Peter Sagan rides his bike up the hood of cars. (I can do that too but I only on Ferraris and Lamborghinis.) It's really nothing compared to what Danny MacAskill has been doing with his bike.
