Ride/Race Reports
A number of MBRTers rode out to watch the Amgen Tour of California over the weekend. It looked like fun. MBRT was also well-represented on the TNPR and SMR this past week...but I hear Keith DeFiebre won the TNPR. How could you guys let that happen?
Modesto Crit & RR - Andrew, Len, Sara, Mike and I raced in the Modesto wind last weekend. I raced the crit and RR with middling results -- I've accepted that I do better in races with hills. Andrew showed that he's ready to upgrade to Cat 3 but I will not steal his thunder by discussing the specifics of his results prior to his race reports.
Upcoming Rides/Races
TNPR - As usual. You guys better not let Keith win it again. SMR - As usual. But you should really do CCCX!
CCCX #6 - Saturday. We can all agree on one thing about the Seaside Bay View course: Racing it makes one appreciate the Fort Ord Course. Lucky for us this weekend's race will be on the course we've grown to love, the 4.3mi Fort Ord course. As this is our local series and it is important for us to have a big showing. Again, we have an opportunity to dominate the 3/4 field, though I plan to ride against my character -- I will work as little as possible and wait for the sprint.
Mt Hamilton Classic - Sunday. Our District Championship! The 62mi course kicks off with a 20mi climb (divided into three sections) and finishes with 20mi flat/down hill. Are you ready? I'm doing it. Is anyone else driving? I want to leave a vehicle at the finish so we have a way back to the start after the race. Email me if you want to coordinate.

Memorial Day Criterium - (Morgan Hill) This is a great event. I promised Andrew that if he upgrades to Cat 3 I will work for him in this race. Lance has been working on his bike fit and may join in on the E3 fun as well.
